About Us
St. Joseph’s Convent in Thrissur, established in 1922, holds the distinction of being the first convent founded by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) outside Ernakulam. This occurred 19 years after the passing of the revered Foundress, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima. Inspired by her charism and motivated by a passion for service, the CSST laid the foundation for the LP section in the same year. Later, in 2000, the school expanded with the addition of the Higher Secondary section. Today, the school has grown into a respected institution committed to empowering girls through education.
CSST’s primary goal is to provide young girls with a strong educational foundation infused with Christian values. They aim to nurture women who are intellectually capable, morally grounded, spiritually driven, and devoted to serving their country.
At St. Joseph’s, students are encouraged to seize numerous opportunities to experience, explore, and excel, helping them connect meaningfully with people, concepts, and the world around them. The school seeks to foster intelligence, curiosity, self-respect, and dignity, inspiring students to find joy in learning while upholding the values of mercy and compassion
