Our Journey Through Time
St. Joseph Convent Girls Higher secondary School ,Mission Quarters was established in the year 1921. In a n era when education was a distant dream for girls ,keeping in mind the all round development of girl child ,the first English Medium school of Thrissur was established in February 1922 by Carmelite Sisters of St Theresa with 30 students in two tiny class rooms. Now it has blossomed into a Higher secondary School. The light lit by our foundress Mother Teresa of St Rose of Lima is spreading far and wide,enlightening thousands of children every year.
The school was instituted under the leadership of Mother Veronica. The torch bearers nourished and supported the school. The institution had flourished and grown into a huge tree providing succour to financially backward and marginalised girl children in the society.
